Turner Family



Fall shoots are in full swing!  Yippie!  

The leaves are absolutely beautiful and all the families I have had a chance to hang out with the last few weekends have been such a treat for me. 



Today I have to pleasure of reintroducing you to some special, longtime friends... meet the

 
Turner Family




Such a sweet family! 

Last year when I shot this family we were fighting hurricane force winds- much like the ones we are all experiencing today thanks to Hurricane Sandy!  So I was thrilled to spend time again with them on a beautiful and CALM Saturday morning. :)

I love these next shots... there's just something SO THRILLING to a toddler about walking away from Mommy and Daddy!  I love his sweet smile!







Thank you for giving me another opportunity to photograph your beautiful family!  You guys are such dear friends and I loved spending time with you.  And thank you for all your prayers and support during our adoption journey- it really means the world to me!

I can't wait to introduce you all to our baby- soon!

Franey Family of Four


There is no greater compliment to me as a photographer than to have friends book shoots with me year after year.  Last week it was my pleasure to photograph some dear friends for the 5th time!  Yep!  You read that correctly!  I've been photographing this sweet family since they were just a family of 2!  It's so fun for me to look back each year and see how much the kids have grown!

Road Trip! Ferguson Family


Recently my (amazing) sister and I packed up my boys (and Diana's pup) and took a day trip to Simpsonville, SC.    We went to spend the day with and photograph 6 of my favorite Ferguson's!  

I knew we were in for a fun shoot considering we'd be photographing my nephew and 3 nieces (ages 6 and under!)- but I had NO IDEA it would be such a hoot!  The kids were hilarious!  We played ring-around-the-rosie, sang itsy-bitsy-spider, threw kids in the air at least 100 times and maybe even bribed a little with skittles and candy corn :)!  It was AWESOME.  

Then add in wonderful lighting, a beautiful location, perfect fall weather and 6 beautiful people and you've got yourself a shoot of shoots!

But you don't have to take my word for it...

Nash Family

Recently Diana and I had the opportunity to catch up with some old friends during their fall shoot at the Dairy Barn. 

 

This precious family has GROWN since I saw them last- they now have 5 beautiful children! 



Everyone, I introduce to you the Nash Family-



Love them! 

Our light was limited as the sun set a little earlier than I anticipated.  But, oh! What BEAUTY we witnessed as the sun set over the rolling hills!


Here are my absolute favorites from the day.

 

 

 





Spending time with the Nash family was a blessing.  I laughed and laughed and LOVED watching the kiddos interact with each other and their parents.

I was reminded of these verses from the 127th Psalm:

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one's youth.
 Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!

Coffin Family

 

Last weekend my sister and I were able to photograph a beautiful family on a gorgeous fall afternoon at the Dairy Barn.


Everyone, I introduce to you The Coffin's!

Here are some of my observations after my time with them:


#1 Every, single, solitary member of this family of 5 has piercing blue eyes.
#2 A great way to get Sally to smile is to first ask her to sing "I'm a little Tater-tot, short and cute" (cuteness like I have never experienced).
#3 Dawn has  the most captivating smile- it lights up her whole face.
#4 The Coffin's love Jesus.  How do I know?  Because they love each other beautifully... and because
#5 they have actively prayed for and supported us and other families working to bring children home.  For that they are absolutely precious to me!


So without further delay- here are my favorites of the day!

(one more thing: The Coffin's are using some of these images for Christmas gifts, so I decided to only post black and white ones, and I posted fewer than normal.)
