Ruthie Photography: About the Photographer

Hello!

I'm Maria and this is my family (so far!)

I am so thrilled that you've stopped by my blog.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have LOVED taking pictures and seeing what develops. One of my absolute favorite Christmas gifts as a little girl was my first camera-

A sweet Mickey Mouse 110 camera!I loved that thing!

That camera and others gave me the opportunity to capture beauty and sweet moments- even as a little girl. I enjoyed photographing everything from the incredible scenery of Puerto Rico to the funny faces of my brother and sister.

Now as an adult my passion has become

photographing people in outside in the beauty of our Lord's creation.

To me there is something so natural about being outdoors that makes for relaxed and "real" images- not to mention a really FUN experience and memory!

When we began our adoption journey in 2011 I had the idea to utilize my most favorite hobby to assist in our fundraising efforts and created:

Ruthie Photography is currently a fundraising project for our adoption. Once the Lord brings us our baby (and all the funds we need to offset our adoption costs) I hope to transition this project to a non-profit fundraiser for other families working to bring children home to their forever families!
