Carroll Family

Last Sunday I spent a chaotic and hysterical morning with 6 of my favorite people.

Everyone, meet the Carroll's!



 

 This precious family is so special to us.  Niles and I have known Chann and Kylie since we were all in High School.  They have encouraged us in our relationships with the Lord and have walked alongside us as we have journeyed into marriage and parenthood.

Speaking of parenthood, Chann and Kylie have been blessed with 4 biological children-

What's even cooler- they love Jesus!

And GET THIS!  2 more sweet kiddos will soon join this amazing family!  Chann and Kylie are following the Lord's call on their family to adopt 2 children from Ethiopia!

In order to send their dossier to Ethiopia the Carroll's need $5,500 and pictures of their family.  Since I love them and happen to have a camera I knew how I could help!  Which brings me to our shoot :).  Below you will see my favorites from our time at the Dairy Barn.  In a few of the shots we left 2 empty chairs to symbolize the soon-to-be Carroll's.

The Lord used this precious family to whisper the word "adoption" into our hearts... and for that we will forever be grateful.  We are honored to share in this journey with them and ask for your prayers as we all work by the Lord's grace to bring our children home.

A shower for Katherine!

It was recently my privilege to photograph a BEAUTIFUL baby shower thrown by some amazing women from my church. The shower was thrown for a precious friend and soon to be mama- Katherine.

Everyone, meet Katherine!

She is absolutely stunning, right?

 

Katherine and her hubby are expecting a miracle baby girl in just about 6 weeks!

To celebrate baby girl the shower was beautifully decorated in the most beautiful pinks and the sweetest smelling flowers.

After Katherine's friend Sarah prayed and we all ate some delicious treats it was time for everyone's favorite part-PRESENTS!  As a Mama of 2 boys I must say there are a lot of cute little boy outfits.  But lets be honest- nothing is cuter that tiny pink dresses and tiny girly shoes!

My favorite was an itsy-bitsy pair of *sparkly* TOMS!  Love!

 

 

 

This shower was an opportunity to celebrate a woman with both beauty and charm but whose most beautiful quality is her fear and trust of the Lord (Proverbs 31:29-31).  For me it has been a blessing to watch Katherine walk the road toward motherhood with abundant hope in the good that was to come. 

Congratulations, Katherine! We will all continue to pray for you and your growing family!

 

May the Lord cover your baby girl with his feathers.  May he shelter her with his wings.  And may she learn at an early age to trust the faithful promises of the LORD to be her armor and protection!  Psalm 91:4

I love assignments!

 

It's silly, I know. 

 

I just love having something I'm assigned to do that has a due date. 

So to that end I've decided to assign myself a weekly "Friday Favorite" post.

Sweet Ella turned one a few weeks ago, but because of the craziness of life I never gave her any love on my other blog!

Meet Miss Chayah!

She's adorable, right?


Miss Chayah is the youngest miracle of two very special friends of ours, Andy and Michelle.  If you haven't heard their beautiful story of infertility, adoption and miracles I encourage you to visit Michelle's blog which begins here.

Now back to Chayah.  Baby girl lives fully up to her middle name JOY.  She's a bundle of giggles and smiles and has the CUTEST nose crinkle (like her Mama).  We decide just a few minutes before her rainbow birthday party to try to capture a picture of her in her very own "hot air balloon" for her special day.  We were limited with location because shade was absolutely necessary (it felt like 100 degrees!) and our backgrounds weren't all that special.  But who needs a special background when you have a baby as cute as this one?

Ok enough of me- onto little Miss Sunshine.
